Becket Court, Canterbury

As a result of our work on many other student accommodation projects in and around Canterbury, we were awarded Becket Court as a design and build contract, comprising of twelve student apartments over a two-storey building in a great location for students of University of Kent.

The construction methods used for these phases have been piling and ring beam sub-structures with traditional masonry walls decoratively clad with panels and a fibreglass or single ply membrane roof and has incorporated various levels of renewable energy including PV.

To make the build as fluent as possible, we lead the architects and structural engineers through from the planning stage to completion. Regular co-ordination meetings with the client ensured that the plans were kept on track with minimal disruption.
