The Watch House, Kent

The Watch House was developed by a private client in need of a family home. It was designed to showcase the coastal views from as many angles as possible, flooding the house with light and beautiful scenery.

Part of the original building was refurbished to provide a snug room with coastal views and a staircase leading to all floors, including the basement that has a wine and equipment store, shower room, changing facilities and a games area.

All four bedrooms are situated on the first floor and are fitted with en-suite facilities and sea views. At the ground floor level there is an open plan kitchen, dining area and lounge with coastal views. There is also a ground floor toilet, kitchen utility area and a reduced height store created under the existing Watch House ground floor for useful storage.

To make the most of the location, a natural pool and reed bed were introduced, overlooked by a patio area and summer house.
