Yawl House is a luxury high specification home built for a private client.

The exterior fabric of the property has been carefully designed and constructed to fit in within the local coastal setting, appearing to blend with the beach-front location of the property.

This building used a mixture of traditional and contemporary materials including natural roof slates, weatherboarding, large powder coated aluminium windows and doors.

Construction was made all the more challenging due to the sloping nature of the site and the restricted access to the front of the property. A bridge with a ten tonne weight limit was the only route, which was resolved with logistic solutions.

During the build, over a thousand tons of soil was removed to allow for piling works to commence. The building needed to be built to a high specification and standard due to the exposed costal location without sacrificing too much privacy for the client.
